Ms. Betty Ohl, age 90, a longtime resident of Wall Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Betty was born on August 11, 1926 in Cambria, Pennsylvania, to parents Martha Amelia Long and James Marias Long. She is survived by a sister, Jean Sideroff of Allentown, Pennsylvania, several nieces and nephews, and many friends and loved ones.
Betty received her Bachelor of Arts from Lock Haven University, PA, formerly Lock Haven State College. After graduating from college she enjoyed a career as a teacher of Social Studies at Manasquan High School for forty-one years, until her retirement in 1989.
Betty was the epitome of Class, and she remained a Classy lady until she passed away, and never lost her dignity. She enjoyed socializing and enjoying time with her friends and family. She took pride in her home and enjoyed living independently until the end of life. In her younger years she enjoyed New York City and love to travel to Florida and travel abroad.
A Memorial Service in Betty's memory will be held on 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 18th at the First Presbyterian Church in Manasquan.
