Barbara M. Climer

Barbara M. Climer, 79, of Brick passed away peacefully Sunday, March 24, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Union City N.J. Barbara and her family moved to Asbury Park where she was a graduate of Asbury Park High School. She was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore. Barbara was a self employed Artist for the past 25 years at her Brush Strokes By Design brand. Barbara was predeceased by her mother Angela Cicala, father Frederick Parsons and stepfather Steven Cicala. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Frank Climer, 3 children, daughter Karen Chillemi Ledbetter and her husband Kenneth from Houston Tx.; son Scott Climer and his wife Donna of Point Pleasant and her youngest daughter Susan Ringo and her fiance James Davis, of Brick. Barbara also leaves behind 5 Grandchildren, Michael Chillemi, Marissa Chillemi, Christopher Davis, Kristina Climer Borelli and Kevin Rippon, and one Great Grandchild Jacob Borelli. She is also survived by her beloved furbabies Ted and Bear. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Martha's Roman Catholic Church, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant N.J. 08742 at 10:30 am Saturday, March 30. Interment will be celebrated at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate Donations to either St. Jude's Children Hospital, The Make a Wish Foundation or the American Cancer Society be made in Barbara's name.
