Arnold Tyke Koovits

Arnold 'Arnie' Koovits, 60 affectionately named 'Tyke' by those closest to him passed away on Monday 1/18/16 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch after a 4 year battle with cancer. Arnie was born in Jersey City and attended Bayonne High School. He resided in Jackson his entire adult life. He was employed in Carpentry and construction until his illness. Those that knew him knew of his extreme strength and tenacity, both of which were overwhelmingly displayed during his illness. He had a big heart and if you befriended him there was nothing he wouldn't do for you. His loss will leave a hole in the lives of those that loved and cared for him. Surviving are his mother Barbara, brother Bob, two nieces Marta and Kirsten, nephew Karl, two great nieces and two great nephews. At his request, final arrangements will be private. In lieu of condolences, flowers, or charitable donations we request that you take the time to care for those you love now, because it is never known how long we have.
