Arnold Kleeberg

Colts Neck – Arnold Kleeberg, 89 passed away March 19, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Jersey City, NJ he attended Snyder HS, played football and worked as a tree surgeon before enlisting in the Navy as a member of the Under Water Demolition Team member (UDT). After leaving the service, he became a NJ State Trooper, rising to the rank of Captain. He built a small home in Monmouth County where he and his wife Irene, a had a son, Karl. Arnold always enjoyed gardening. He had beehives, fruit trees, and a vegetable garden. He enjoyed sharing his gardening experiences with everyone, volunteering and conducting auctions for various civic groups. He was a member of the Master Gardeners of Monmouth County. He is predeceased by his wife Irene. Surviving is son Karl, daughter-in-law Jeanne, and his friend Darryl. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in the name of Arnold be made to the Monmouth County S.P.C.A. or the Monmouth County Food Bank.
