Anna Rosemary Scribner, 93, of Lake Como, passed peacefully away on Sunday, December 3rd, at her home with loved ones at her side.
Anna [DeLago] was born in Plainfield on July 6, 1924. She was the youngest of eight children. She married Howard A. Scribner in 1947 and moved to the Jersey Shore during 1963. She was dedicated to her extended family and was known to drive the Parkway-to-Plainfield route at the drop of a hat. She was also active in school, church and social activities. She worked as one of the WWII factory women and was a manufacturing technician for many years. She retired from Gammon Technologies in 1985.
Anna is survived by her children, Darlene Hermey and Howard A. Scribner Jr. and his wife, Susan. There are also six grandchildren, Jeffery and Justin Hermey and Kelsey, Abigail, Catherine and Brian Scribner.
Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. on Saturday, December 9th, at St. Margarets Catholic Church in Spring Lake. A private family internment will follow. Arrangements are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation Service, 36 Broad St., Manasquan. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to The Jersey Shore Rescue Mission in Asbury Park.
