Ann Cullen Thompson, age 72, was born on October 26, 1942 and left us on April 26, 2015. She was born in Dublin, Ireland moving to the US in 1952 and spent most of her childhood living in Perth Amboy where she went to school through her high school days.
She was employed at South Amboy Memorial Hospital & Community Mental Health Center-Horizon North Program for 20 years. Her career and passion came from working with those affected by mental illness with whom she made laugh and smile on a daily basis. Ann had a zest for life; all those who met her; even once; remembered her. She touched the lives and hearts of so many people. When Ann had rough/tough times her spirit and energy never left her. She personified "when life hands you lemons make lemonade"
.Ann is predeceased by her parents Marie & John Cullen and her son Shaun Thompson. Ann is survived by her son Richard (Rick) Thompson, her granddaughters Paige and Nora Thompson who were the light of her life and many close friends whose life she lit up.
A service is scheduled at St. Joseph Mausoleum, 360 Broadway in Keyport NJ on Saturday May 16th at 10:30am
