Angelina "Angie" Evanik

Angelina (Angie) Evanik nee Sbarro, 96, of Brick Township passed away on April 22, 2023 peacefully in her home. Born in Harrison, NJ on December 17, 1926, Angie lived in Kearny, NJ until her retirement from West Hudson Hospital where she worked as a nurse's aid in the PACU for many years. She was a graduate of Wilfred Beauty Academy and was cutting hair into her 90's. Angie was a fun loving soul. Always welcoming a visitor with a cup of tea, a shoulder to lean on, and a bowl of spaghetti. She enjoyed playing cards and was always up for a ride to Atlantic City.

She is survived by her daughters, Maryann Anderson of Poinciana, Florida and Angela Parsons of Brick, NJ. Seven grandchildren, Richard Gavin (Jana), Juliet Anderson (Joey), Daniel Anderson (Gretchen) Alyson Boyne-Preble (Andrew), Marybeth Nedrud (Steven). Nicolette Grebel (Ryan) and Corrinne Parsons (Billy) and ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Walter Evanik in 1981, her sons Walter P Evanik in 2003 and Peter Evanik in 2008, her parents Peter and Mary Sbarro and her beloved brother Joseph C Sbarro.

A celebration of Angelina's life will be held on June 17, 2023 at 1:00PM at Laurelton Gardens Clubhouse, 190 McGuire Blvd. Brick, NJ 08724.
