Alfred R. Moenke Pe

Alfred R. Moenke, PE, 86, of Brick, passed away quietly at home on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 after a long illness. Born in Passaic, He had lived for many years in Point Pleasant Beach. He was a graduate of Clifton High School and received Bachelors & Masters of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and a faithful member of Holy Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Manasquan. He was an active member in the Ocean County Society of Professional Engineers and served as their State Trustee. He sat on the Ocean County Board of Construction Appeals for many years. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Lisbeth. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Louise. Alfred will live on through his children: Carl and wife Christine, Ruth Anne, Susan and husband Tim, and Christine and husband Glenn; grandchildren: Michelle and husband Tony, Denise and fiancée Glen, Cheryl and husband John, Rebecca, Timothy and wife Joanna, Michael, Keith and wife Meggan, and Ian and wife Michaela; and great-grandchildren: Samuel Alfred, Ashlan, Gina Marie, Caiden, Gavin, Cosette, Audrey, Thane, Elisabeth, and Emma.A viewing will be held from 10AM to Noon on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Holy Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Main St. & Osborn Ave., Manasquan, The Funeral Service will follow there at 12:15PM. Inurnment will be private in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Garden.
