Robert J. Levin, age 68 of Spring Lake Heights, passed away suddenly on October 13th, 2025 at home. A quiet and humble man, Rob will be remembered for his funny comments, comforting presence, dependable nature, and big smile.
Raised in Elizabeth, NJ, Rob spent time during his childhood vacationing at the Jersey Shore with his family and friends where he gravitated towards the beach and ocean. He enjoyed his summers living in various rentals with his surf buddies. One night in 1988, Rob met his future wife Tricia at the Yankee Clipper in Sea Girt, and soon after they were married there. Rob and Tricia settled in Spring Lake Heights where they would raise their two children Quinn and Packy.
Rob was a loving husband, father, family member, and friend. He enjoyed basketball, tennis, and most of all surfing and going to the beach. You could often find him “checking the waves,” ordering ice teas at Dunkin Donuts, attending Manasquan High School boys and girls basketball games, enjoying a lobster at the Parker House, listening to music with his family at the local Jersey Shore bars, or sitting as close to the ocean as possible on New York beach in Sea Girt.
Rob attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He furthered his education at Rutgers University Law School and NYU School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation, respectively. Rob had a long career as a General Counsel at various start ups, emerging growth, and middle market companies. For the last 11 years, Rob served as the General Counsel at Orbis Operations. He loved what he did and was dedicated in his leadership, strategy and counsel.
Rob will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Tricia, and his children Quinn and Packy. His memory will be cherished by his mother-in-law, Cathy Burke, sisters and brother-in-law, Kate Duerr, Charlie Duerr and Liz Burke Steppe, nieces and nephews, Billy Duerr (Cara), Tommy Duerr (Sam), Mikey Steppe, and Casey Steppe, great-nieces and nephew Sage, Stevie, Bowie and Burkey, and many friends and extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Corinne Levin, his brother Jay, father-in-law, Bill Burke, and beloved dog, Ozzy.
