Gerald "Jerry" Levitz

Gerald (Jerry) Levitz , 83 of SEA GIRT passed away December 16, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn on June 18, 1940, to the late Milton and Sophia Levitz. Jerry graduated from Erasmus Hall High School and furthered his education at Community College of New York where he studied Mechanical Technology.

He met and married the late Margaret (Peggy) Spielman in 1960 and they had a daughter in 1963, Lauren. Peggy passed in 1967.

He remarried Diane Marie Peregrin and the had a daughter in 1968, Jennifer Ann. Jerry was employed in his early years at Russeks Furs in NYC and later with Admiration Gifts and Novelties, Hoffman Floor Covering, Itek Corp, Berthold USA and Harris Composition Systems where he retired in 1999. He excelled in sales and sales management. His competitive nature and skills lead to many awards and top management positions.

He leaves behind his wife Diane of 56 years, daughters Lauren (Bryan) Sali and Jennifer (Rex) Hodges, as well as his four grandchildren; Savannah, Callie, Jake and Meaghan, also a great granddaughter; Peyton.

Memorials may be made on line to the Algonquin Arts Theatre of Manasquan or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, in Jerry’s memory.

Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan is entrusted with his arrangements.
